Composition

This image uses vertical, slanted, parallel, and horizontal lines to convey a sense of movement and direction of the building. These lines are also what make the building appear sturdy and give the road a sense of direction and movement as well as making it appear somewhat "active."


This image uses a zoomed in area of a bigger building in order to emphasize the window shutters and balconies. The image also contains repetition and rhythm with the two balconies however this becomes more interesting since the rhythm is broken by the open shutter, paint bucket, and chair on one of the balconies.
